The Junior Enterprise Movement (MEJ) is one of the largest junior movements in the world. It is made up of university students who are members of junior companies, organizations that are run by students. Junior companies provide students with practical knowledge in their degree areas, while also encouraging innovative entrepreneurship and preparing university students for the job market.
The company’s 10th anniversary, celebrated in 2023.
The movement originated in France in 1967. In Brazil, the first junior company was founded in 1988 in São Paulo. Today, our country has the highest concentration of junior companies on the planet: there are 243 recognized by the Brazilian Confederation of Junior Companies, Brasil Júnior.
The MEJ also has a positive impact on society. Junior companies provide quality services at an affordable price and all the money raised goes towards maintaining the company’s headquarters and training its members. Commitment to results, transparency and synergy are some of the values that underpin the Movement, which is capable of transforming university students into entrepreneurs through project-based learning, management and an entrepreneurial culture.
